If you’ve started reading this letter, please don’t stop. Our lives may depend on it.

So, you know how all of the newspapers have been talking about this ‘treatment facility’, that helps teens and children with mental issues recover? Don’t believe a word you read.

No one here has a mental problem. We’re all pretty smart, actually. They don’t try to help us, they try to kill us. We’re not crazy. We’re gifted.

Me? I can read minds. There’s a girl who can control emotions, a boy who can fly, and even some people who can shape shift.

We were all sent here for being different. For being strange. Our parents didn’t want us, so this place took us.

The so called ‘doctors‘, they don’t give us therapy. They try to see if they can remove our gifts. Often by using shock treatments and needles.

We’re treated like lab rats. The only ones who don’t get treated like that are sleeping with the doctors. Don’t look so shocked, Someone, nothing is taboo here.

Recently, there have been whispers of a plan to escape the Asylum. Many of us have already been hurt trying. One or two people have actually managed to get out alive. So why doesn't everyone try to escape, you ask? Trackers. They're the best assassins to ever exist. They're genetically modified to be stronger, faster, smarter, and just generally better than the rest of us. They don't care about anything, not even themselves. Many of them would just as soon kill a patients as retrieve one. All they care about is doing their job.

Please, help us. Get us out. Tell someone that you read this letter. And if you see one of us, don't just walk by us. Offer us help. Give us a meal, a place to sleep for a while. We're going to need all the help we can get.

But be discreet, the Doctors won't have any issue with killing you for getting involved.
